“I took a welding class at the Flint Institute of Arts and made a goat, horse and fox chasing a mouse. For me, it was art making in the purest sense: pound the wire with a ball peen hammer and weld, look at the form then redo until it looked right. Very little thinking, just making.
After making I stuffed them with spagnum moss and potting soil. Now I’m trying to grow ivy etc. on them.”
